What should you drink when your head feels like a volcano about to erupt?
I’ll have a Hibisa, please.
It’s common knowledge that a cup of lavender tea will help you relax. But wouldn’t you like something different?
Hibisa owes its soothing effect to its main ingredient: the hibiscus flower. This ingredient of African origin combats stress without making you feel drowsy.
Drink it in the company of others or alone, to quench your thirst at the gym or to enjoy during some quality ‘me-time’ on your comfy sofa, at work or while studying.
Delicious with breakfast, lunch, dinner – and any time in between!
Hibisa is the perfect pick-me-up at any time of the day.
Hibisa gives you the energy you need to meet your day-to-day challenges. This refreshing thirst-quencher packed full of good ingredients, offers a taste sensation that’s all about good health, a positive mindset and authenticity.
Hibisa was developed in 2017 and is inspired by age-old traditions from the very heart of Africa. The flower has been used for thousands of years as a flavouring or colouring in tea, to combat high blood pressure or cholesterol and in numerous other medicinal and culinary applications. From the Egyptian Pharaohs to the Mayan kings on the American continent, many cultures throughout history have used the hibiscus flower as a rich source of vitamins and antioxidants and other beneficial properties, and found it to have a positive effect on health and well-being.
The hibiscus—also known as Roselle in Asia, Karkadee in Egypt, Bissap or Zobo in West-African countries and Flor de Jamaica in Mexico and Latin American countries—remained until recently undiscovered as a superfood within the wide range of European beverages available today. Hibisa has changed this and now allows you to enjoy the many benefits offered by this flower in a unique, natural and tasty beverage.
Every can of Hibisa is made from the very best nature can offer: the hibiscus flower, harvested in the tropical African climate and grown on the fertile soil of family-run farms. It is the result of many years of experimentation in the drying, soaking and extraction process to obtain the purest taste and most intense aromas from this flower. The exceptional quality of Hibisa starts with the hand-picking of the finest ingredients by our master blender, and this standard of quality is maintained during every step of the production process.
Puur hibiscus extract
The secret of the Hibisa taste sensation lies in the natural power of the hibiscus extract.
Thanks to the careful and slowly executed extraction process, all the original aromas of the flower are retained without any loss of the ingredients’ natural properties.
With natural antioxidants
The flower of the hibiscus plant contains natural antioxidants that contribute to keeping the human body in perfect health.
Oxidation causes ‘free radicals’ to form. These are highly reactive molecules that can damage cells. Not only does this promote the ageing process, there is also a chance that free radicals damage a cell’s DNA and, by doing so, cause illnesses and mutations. Antioxidants neutralise these dangerous molecules.
Without sugar substitutes
Hibisa drinks do not contain any added sugar substitutes or sweeteners.
With less than 95 kcal per can, Hibisa can be consumed as part of a varied and well-balanced diet and contributes to a healthier lifestyle.
Stress relief effect
The high concentration of Vitamin C and zinc boosts your immune system and creates a natural defence mechanism against stress and fatigue.
Additionally, the antioxidants heighten your capacity to absorb iron and contribute to a well-functioning metabolism. Ideal for busy work days, during your weekly yoga session or on those days that nothing seems to be going your way. Close your eyes and dream away, while enjoying the intense taste of Hibisa. Treat yourself to a blissful moment of serenity.
Will you be driving tonight?
Hibisa, the alcohol-free drink with hibiscus extract, fruit juice, pure mineral water and sugar tastes as if you are sipping rays of pure African sunshine.
The quality of our ingredients combined with the strict hygiene standards in the packaging chain guarantee that the taste and properties of the beverage are fully retained until the ‘use-by’ date has expired.
The carefully executed thermal treatment and the packaging in cans also ensure that Hibisa will retain its sparkling freshness, vitamins and nutrient value for longer.
How is my Hibisa made?
The hibiscus flowers for this delicious beverage are of the sabdariffa variety grown in Nigeria. The chalices are picked 48 hours after flowering, after which the seed pod is removed and the chalices are dried at a temperature of 40 °C.
The dried chalices are then shipped to Belgium where the flowers are stirred into hot mineral water. This ‘tea’ is then sieved, allowed to cool down and all the ingredients are carefully mixed together.
Following the quality control procedure, the cans are filled and pasteurised to guarantee a long shelf life (2 years after the manufacture date).
Natural & Orange
Whether you prefer this refreshing thirst-quencher in the natural variety or with the addition of orange juice, you will enjoy it from the very first sip!
This sparkling soft drink based on a hibiscus infusion is made from 100% natural ingredients, without any preservatives, additives (E numbers) and added sweeteners. The beverage is alcohol-free, but also delicious in a cocktail with vodka, gin or tequila. Perfect as an aperitif, after-work drink or for a night in watching TV! Your guests are bound to be delighted when you regale them with Hibisa.
This refreshing beverage based on orange juice and a hibiscus infusion is 100% natural, just like its natural variant: no preservatives, no E numbers and no added sweeteners. So what’s the difference? Hibisa Orange is not sparkling, making it a delicious breakfast drink for orange juice lovers. Kick-start your day with Hibisa Orange or drink it as a pick-me-up to get over the afternoon slump.
